Our Process

Our Process

From Vision to Threshold

Our process is deliberate, disciplined, and deeply rooted in meaning.

We approach every project the way Jean Tijou approached ironwork centuries ago—not as ornament, but as architecture with intention. Each phase is designed to ensure that what we create carries presence, purpose, and permanence.

1. Research & Immersion

Before anything is drawn or forged, we listen. We study context—historical, cultural, and spatial. Whether referencing a palace, a private residence, or a contemporary setting, we immerse ourselves in the story the space needs to tell.

2. Concept & Narrative Design

Every element begins with a question: what should this space communicate? We translate research into visual narratives—developing concepts that balance function with emotion. Gates, screens, staircases, and railings are treated as moments within a story, not isolated objects. Here, form is shaped by meaning.

3. Design Development

With the concept established, we refine. Proportion, rhythm, transparency, and materiality are carefully developed to ensure visual authority from every angle—close-up or distance, daylight or shadow.

4. Craft & Fabrication

Craft is where intention becomes reality. We honour traditional techniques while applying modern precision. Every curve, joint, and surface is treated with the respect that hand-forged work demands. This is where authenticity is earned—through time, skill, and discipline.

This is design that performs. Design that holds the camera. Design that endures.

5. Integration & Installation

Our work does not exist independently—it belongs to its environment. Installation is approached as a final act of composition. The relationship between iron, stone, light, and movement is carefully resolved so the piece feels inevitable—always meant to be there.
